A witness told a court that a woman claiming she was raped by comedian Russell Brand stated the alleged assault "really, really hurt" and left her in "a lot of pain" and unable to sit down.

The friend testified via video link at Southwark Crown Court, describing a conversation with the complainant after they had attended Brand's comedy show at the Hammersmith Apollo theatre in London in 2009. The complainant had reportedly been invited to Brand's dressing room following the performance.

Statements from the complainant's parents were also presented to the jury. They recounted their daughter telling them about the alleged attack and expressing significant worry about contracting HIV. According to the witness, the complainant had visited Brand's London home shortly after meeting him at the theatre, and he had arranged for a car to take her to his Hampstead residence.

Brand, 51, has pleaded not guilty to all seven charges against him, which include three counts of rape, three of sexual assault, and one of indecent assault. These allegations span a decade from 1999 to 2009 and involve six separate female complainants.

The witness described the complainant's account of the encounter, stating that Brand became "quite aggressive" and allegedly forced her into anal sex, despite the encounter initially beginning consensually. The complainant reportedly said, "He forcibly put it in my bum and it really really hurt."

When asked by the witness if she had said "no" to Brand at the start of the alleged attack, the complainant replied, "lots of times." She also conveyed her distress, saying she was "in a lot of pain" and "couldn't sit down."

Another friend of the complainant also testified, telling the jury that her friend had stated she told Brand to stop during the alleged rape. This witness recalled her friend saying the "worst moment" was after the act, when Brand allegedly told her she "had been dirty and had to clean up her mess," describing him as "quite cold and keen to get her gone."

This second witness stated she advised her friend to seek medical attention due to anal tears and discomfort, and to consult her parents and the police. However, the complainant was reportedly hesitant, feeling "it wasn't worth it" and that she "wouldn't be believed." She ultimately "kind of put it behind her."
